Rob Barry has been installing solar heating systems since 1979 and became an Applied Science Technologist (A.Sc.T) in 1982.

Heather came to Island Energy in 1995 working in Accounting and Administration and eventually became a Partner in the business.

Parker has been working with Island Energy since 2014 as both a Journeyman Refrigeration Mechanic as well as a Journeyman Gas Fitter.

Heat pump visit

Recommended annually
  • Check pressures in heating and cooling
  • Measure superheat and sub-cooling and record
  • Measure delivered cfm
  • Calculate performance of unit
  • Check contactor
  • Wash down condenser coils
  • Ensure correct temperature rise and drop
  • Visually inspect indoor coil conditions

Their own checklist, word for word. They publish one for solar, boilers, water heaters, HRVs, furnaces and fireplaces too.
